Dawnita D. Sampsel is a fourth-generation Central Montanan who is deeply connected to the communities that make the region strong. Raised with a deep appreciation for hard work, service, and community values, she has built her career around supporting and strengthening the people and organizations of Central Montana.

Dawnita previously served as Vice President and Agricultural Loan Officer at Stockman Bank in Stanford, Montana, where she worked closely with individuals, families, and businesses to help them achieve their financial goals and build long-term success.

In addition to her professional experience, Dawnita is highly engaged in community service. She volunteers with numerous local initiatives, including the JB 4-H Fair Board and was part of the Stanford Open, demonstrating her commitment to youth development, local events, and civic involvement.

In her free time, Dawnita enjoys dirt biking, camping, and spending time outdoors with her family—embracing the lifestyle and natural beauty that make Central Montana home.

She is excited to serve as Executive Director of the Strand Foundation, a role that allows her to further invest in and connect with the many communities that make Central Montana such a special place to live and work. Dawnita joined the Strand Foundation in 2025.
